Somme16 follows the true story of Albert Ernest Peeke, a private in the British Army during the First World War. The movie focuses on four key points during Albert’s time in the Somme from the 1st July 1916 to his untimely death on 16th September 1916, the first day of the Battle of Flers-Courcelette. Albert Peeke is the Great Grandfather of the movie’s writer/director Steve Davis.
